    Belfast, Northern Ireland

    bus-stop

    Belfast City

Belfast is Northern Ireland's capital and is second to Dublin as the largest city on the island of Ireland. Known as the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, Belfast is the principal port of Northern Ireland and was established as an English settlement early in the 17th century.

Belfast is a very safe city – one of the safest cities in Europe with a low crime rate and excellent law enforcement.

It is about 4 miles from the front door of Lakeside Manor to the City Centre. On Saturday, the students love to go to St. George's Market and peruse the vendor stalls.

Bus passes are provided for each student for the term.  The bus system in Belfast is dependable and well-regulated. There is a bus stop right outside the Lakeside Manor that will take you directly to the City Centre, and buses pass through about three times an hour.
Lakeside Manor also has four bikes for students to use throughout the semester.
